Students' Quotations for the Debbie and Mike Erasmus Workshop

=================================================================
I liked the meeting conducted by Prof. Debbie Holley and Prof. Mike Hobbs, because first of all we knew different views on issues that we hear every day and then it is very interesting the union between the educational process and the use of new technological tools .

When Prof. Ciavolino purposed us to participate to a seminar called “Erasmus Project” I was a little skeptical because of the understandiblity of the argument, since it would be in English language. But anyway I decided to take part to this meeting. Actually I have been denied because, despite of the English language, the seminar has been understandable and very interesting, thanks to Mrs. Debbie Holley, that hasn’t only procured us basics but, in addition of explaining the argument in a simple and clear way, has also engaged us through exercises and has handed over us interesting ideas for a reflection finalized to a better use and learning of the technology.

The proposal of Prof. Ciavolino to participate in the seminar "Erasmus Project" had left me with the question of what it was and I was intrigued, and this was the reason why I decided to participate. I have to admit that, given that the seminar was in English, I was afraid that I would not have to understood much about the content and that I would bored, instead I considered it interesting and instructive thanks to Mrs Debbie Holley that has been able, not only to provide knowledge about a better use of technology with an understandable English and explaining in a simple way, but also to involve us in the topic making us to perform some exercises, making us an active part in the seminar and leaving us some important reflexion insights.

Be present at the workshop of Prof Debbie Holley and Prof Mike Hoobs has been a privilege. In a first time, the sweet Prof. Debbie Holley discussed, by projection of slides, the use of technology in learning and life environments;
later, we interacted about our university expectations and our hopes for the future; finally, we analyzed an interview to identify descriptive, narrative or interpretative pieces of text.
It was a very enjoyable and educational experience. We also have known nice and available teachers, it is important to learn while having fun!

Communication and technology are a huge part of our daily lives, but we often forget their power. “I’m here for the learning revolution!” These are strong words. “Oh my god”- I thought – “Is it possible?”
Exploring words, drawing language, working with technology. This is revolution. In my opinion, the seminar was important because reminded that, in the fast modern society, learning is two steps forward from
us, but we also can manage daily those learning devices! Can we do this properly? On November 30th, we peeked through the chink of a revolutionary door, like Alice in Wonderland, we tried to discover
learning, we had the opportunity to listen to the stories told from other people.
